my name is Moonie! That's not my real name though. I came from a time where anononymity on the net was big. I still live that way, which I guess makes me kinda old. I don't have a lot of time to work on this site, so edits come in spurts.
I have an associates in computer programming (it hasn't done me any good because I'm horrible at it!), a bachelor's in anthropology, and an MBA (which also probably isn't going to do me any good). I work for the state, although I won't outright say which state.
I've been married for 10 years (oof, it does NOT feel like it's been that long) to my AMAZING husband who I call Oat. We also have pets who are featured at the bottom of this page! I don't have children, I can't have children, and I've never wanted them. For the most part I still am a kid mentally, so taking care of myself is hard enough. I am from the U.S., but have lived in Mexico, China, and New Zealand for study or for work.

Purrlin - Our baby boy! He was born sometime in mid-2015, although when we returned from our honeymoon in November, we found him stuck in a thorn bush. Since he's a black cat we just pretend his birthday is on Halloween. He's named after Merlin the wizard from Arthurian legend. He has a high-pitched meow that sometimes sounds like a goat bleat 
. He gets separation anxiety (probably because we had to leave him with my in-laws when we were working overseas for a few years) (╥_╥) He has urinary health issues, or had rather, I paid a lot of money to get him "better" so I hope he stays healthy for a lot longer! I want him to live a long and good life! As long as it took him to get along with Mona and Kiki, he absolutely loves Lille My. 
Morgana "Mona" & Kiki - Mona is surprisingly not named specifically from Arthurian legend (like Purrlin is). She is actually named after Morgana / Mona from the video game Persona 5. While Kiki is named after the black cat from Animal Crossing, my husband's favorite cat character from the game! Mona and Kiki are biological sisters, and were born probably sometime around July 2017. They are tuxedo cats. 
Mona had some severe anxiety / feral-ness to her for many years! Until about 2020 when we moved states, she wouldn't let either of us hold her and she wouldn't approach either of us to be petted. Now she hops in our lap and screams at us until we pet her! She's honestly the most well-behaved of our cats because she just kinda does her own thing, although she loves to beat up her sister Kiki sometimes. Kiki definitely loves me the most. She is constantly following me around and trying to sit in my lap. She reminds me of a teddy bear because of how round and scruffy she is compared to her sister. She knows her name and will come running to me when I call her. She also knows she's cute and that it gets her out of trouble because she is the biggest troublemaker out of all of them! Sometimes I call her "Squeaky Kiki" because she meows like a messed up squeaky toy.

Lille My - Lasly we've got the dog. The youngest of the family, born in late April 2021. She's an AKC registered red (although she's a dark auburn color really) "grizzled" husky (grizzled meaning her coloring is like a Coyote making her look wild). Her dad was a long haired black agouti and her mom was a short haired light-red with a standard patterned coat. She was the runt of her litter, so she's pretty small. For a husky, she's not the most talkative, but she is still very hyper! She loves everyone she meets whether it's a human, cat, or other dog. While I'm not the biggest dog person, I do like having her around. 
I'm just glad my husband works from home and can take care of her, otherwise I wouldn't have a dog. We usually try to keep her in a pink bow to represent the fact that she's named after Little My from Moomin (who is a red haired gremlin(?) that wears a pink bow around her neck).
